We have just accepted the invitation from the National Brewing Centre at Burton-on-Trent to take part in their 1940s event. We plan to go on the Saturday only as a day trip, (although free overnight accommodation is available). We could take a trailer pump, either behind a modern car, or behind the K2. See here for more details. The invitation reads:
Olly Daniels & myself (both ex fire service) are organising the above event
at the museum of brewing in Burton upon Trent in aid of Help for Heroes and
instead of the usual battle scenario are looking at putting on a blitz
scenario and I’m wondering if any of your people are interested in coming
over & taking part.
Good setting in a big courtyard inside the museum – you would be able to use
TL/ hose etc. Thinking of doing a scenario – air raid, fire & rescue,
aftermath with civilians, WVS etc and then 40s singer to round off the
scenario.
