The highlight this year will be taking a 1930s Fire Engine, together with a trailer pump, to Guernsey for their week of ‘Liberation Day’ celebrations from 3rd to 10th May. Sadly this means missing Melton Mowbray and Thoresby again as they clash.

A first for us will be the 1940s weekend at the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway for their wartime event, 13th to 15th June. They plan to create a bombed train display for us to work on. See https://www.e-v-r.com/events/
Another fairly new event is to be held at Statfold Barn Railway on 19th to 20th July and we are hoping to be able to do a small pumping display using the Mobile Dam.

Last year we did a really successful event at Claymills Pumping Station in Burton-on-Trent using the Turntable Ladder to rescue a casualty from a 4th story window. We are going back there again 27th – 28th September, and may do a small-scale air raid with the Works Fire Brigade providing the first response. See https://www.claymills.org.uk/events.html
