Spent the day today fitting the parallel motion self-levelling bits to the K4 ladder. A few bits needed a little adjustment with a large sledgehammer to make them line up. Then I discovered that the rather useful hose holder got in the way of one of the new bars, so it had to come off. The mechanism nearly all works now – there are just two holes that are so out-of-line that new holes need drilling. Everything else is fitted and connected.
The bell bracket has been fitted now the holes have been bigger-ised, I just need a new bolt to fit the bell. The roof slot has been opened up.
Had a closer look at the crew cab. The floor and deck frame is badly rotten. One of the side supports is badly rotten for the first foot or so, whereas the other side is pretty much OK.
